DarkRave is a retired Illuminati X general who served as War Department Field Commander from 2004 to 2005.

Darkrave approached Kaiser in the early days of 2004 with the interest of working in the military. Soon after, Kaiser made Darkrave the Field Commander of the War Department, or deputy head of war. DarkRave and Kaiser worked thereafter to establish a professional military institution in IX and Darkrave was very important for IX's military successes during that period. He also worked at developing a war officer system, a war academy, field manuals, and a medals system in IX. Darkrave was known for his affinity to detail and for fomenting discussion to arrive at better military policies.

Darkrave also led in several important campaigns of 2004, most notably in the Third IX-Ragnarok War, the TIS War and the Fifth ARROW-IX War. He was also IX's main war leader in the Second IX-UCN War of September 2004 and World War IX of November 2004. He then was a top commander in the Seventh IX-SOL War.

DarkRave eventually retired from service in February 2005 and was honored with the rank of "general". President Kaiser then named the War Academy in DarkRave's honor in the fall of 2005. DarkRave also received the title of Illuminatus and was inducted into the Illuminated Hall in February 2006, a recognition given in honor of his years of distinguished service and leadership in IX.

DarkRave returned for active duty in May 2007 but is again on vacation as of 2008.
