de1i was the seventh President of the Illuminati X in 2004. He also served as Officer of Foreign Affairs (2001-2003), Head of Foreign Affairs (2003), and Vice President of the Illuminati X (2003). de1i has been retired from leadership since late 2004.
Early IX career
de1i joined the Illuminati X in the summer of 2000. During that time he went up the ranks, despite being expelled from the alliance briefly during 2001. de1i returned and soon after became an FA officer. In fact, de1i served as the longest-running FA officer in IX history from 2001-2004, working as FA in over a dozen sets before taking on higher presidential office. He also took time to lead divisions such as Division X and Maelstrom during 2001-2002, and served as External Vice President of IX during the reign of President Mega in 2003.
Presidency
President Mega stepped down in January 2004 and appointed de1i and Serpentor External and Internal Presidents respectively. On his first set as president, de1i faced the daunting task of leading IX during and after the ILS Gangbang of February 2004. His steadfast demeanor during the crisis won him the respect of many in IX. His political maneuverings also permitted IX to escape disaster and establish an allied base with which to fight the Lovehouse Wars. de1i then became the sole President of IX when Serpentor retired in April 2004. de1i was thus responsible for preparing IX's revenge against the ARROW/SOL forces in the early summer of 2004.
His campaigns were successful in the period from April to July 2004, when IX took control of the Lovehouse Wars. He first organized the defeat of the entire ARROW/SOL bloc in the TIS War, and then had IX crush ARROW in their fifth war. However, de1i could not actively lead after July 2004, and IX's campaigns during the period of August to November 2004 suffered as a consequence. This was exemplied by back-to-back defeats in the Second IX-UCN War and in World War IX, which gave temporary momentum to the ARROW/SOL bloc.
President de1i could not continue leading on an active basis and stepped down in November 2004. He appointed Angelous and DTA his succesors.
Retirement
de1i has remained retired since December 2004, but has occasionaly advised presidents. In retirement, de1i received the title of Illuminatus and was inducted into the Illuminated Hall in December 2005, a recognition given in honor of his many years of distinguished service and leadership in IX.
