Illuinati X was one of the premiere warring alliances in Earth: 2025 from around 2001 to 2009. They were one of the major players in both the TIL wars and the SLIT wars.

Illuminati X, also known as IX, was an Earth Council Server alliance with 70 members. IX was formed in the Alliance Server on March 2000 and enjoyed political and military success throughout its 36 reset stay in the server. IX then moved to the Earth Council Server in February 2007. The alliance would disband in the August 2009 reset, due to a stagnant game. Below are the last public records of this once-great alliance.

Current overview

The Illuminati X is an alliance of 70 members ruled by President Xerglacia. The alliance is commanded by an executive team of the President and Vice President of IX and the members of the Heads Council. In turn, the 70 members are divided into five divisions. Six out of the former eight IX divisions were originally independent alliances at some point (ATL, EEVIL, EoS, FBI, Steel, IR), thus making IX a federation of small alliances that have clustered together under one unified command to create a powerful alliance.

Along with the division structure, IX is structured by four main Departments: Foreign Affairs, War, Development, and Divisions. Each department is led by a departmental head that is a member of the Heads Council. The IX Department of FA is renowned for having produced many of the top politicians in the game's history. Furthermore, the Department of IA (now subdivided into Departments of Development and Divisions) has received accolades during IX's existence for being the backbone behind IX's political and military successes. IX's War Department has also been regarded as the best in the game over many periods because of its success in implementing IX policy and winning conflicts.

The IX of the present is also a very aggressive entity which is the byproduct of over seven years of warfare and existence in the Alliance Server. IXers are known to be lethal on the battlefield, but are also laid back within their website and among each other. Demand for war is always high and thus IX only netgained six times in 36 resets of history in the Alliance Server. The remaining resets were devoted to 41 wars over a seven-year period. So far, IX has spent five and one half resets in the Earth Council Server, and waged seven wars. [edit] Leadership

President of the Illuminati X

The President of IX is the chief executive officer of the Illuminati X. This officer holds supreme authority over all internal, external, and military policy. In practice, the office of President of the Illuminati X is one of the most prestigious and powerful ranks in Earth: 2025, based on IX's premier military and political position in the game.

13 players have held this position since the creation of the alliance in March 2000, many of these serving as co-presidents. Usually, the office of President of the Illuminati X is split between an external and internal presidents. Half of the IX presidents have had a dual presidency at some point in their reigns.

History

First Age, March 2000-September 2001

The Illuminati X alliance was formed by Scarface in the spring of 2000, and debuted in the March-June 2000 reset. IX was a federation of several small alliances and rag-tag group of players that bonded together to form a new alliance designed to become a major military and political power. Scarface's former alliance, EoS, had been just as ambitious, but collapsed due to lack of organization. IX would be his second attempt at creating a serious power.

IX was composed of WoG, FBI, EoS remnants, Monks remnants, and players from UCN, CWG and Elitez. The membership ranged between 65-90, but seemed to average around 75 during the first three resets. DeityLord, the leader of WoG, was selected from this group of players to become the first President of IX. Scarface, however, remained a major player within alliance politics.

IX's first three resets included successful attempts to give the alliance recognition. IX made a good performance in a loss against the bigger UCN, a power of the time, in its first set; and then demonstrated newly-gained political support by accomplishing a victory against GiM and TIE with allies. IX then netted successfully as it sought to expand its membership by over 200%, organize, and then engage in a major war to lay its claim to recognition.

IX grew from 75 to 150 members in a matter of weeks and sought a war with which to gain acclaim. This war took place in during December 2000-January 2001, when IX defeated Legacy in a very big war. A babysitting exposure by Omega during that war then led DeityLord and his foreign affairs head Alan to target Omega over the next two sets. IX was defeated in the first war against Omega due to the latter's allies, but IX sought better allied support for the second war and won a decisive victory in the end. These three major wars in a row (between December 2000-June 2001) gave IX a taste of what it meant to be a power within Earth, and served as opportunities to showcase IX's developing military power. IX also established itself as a player within IX geopolitics just as President DeityLord announced his retirement after leading the alliance for over a year.

Second Age, September 2001-March 2003

IX's second age began on September 2001, with the alliance at 135 members and under the leadership of new President DTA, and Alena, Head of FA. The age also began with a world war. A major event in IX history took place when the 300+ member ARROW declared war on IX after it had helped LaF against eXist. IX was thrown into World War VI just as the alliance was in transition, and it had to fight an uphill battle against ARROW and SOL. IX's was able to muster some serious allied support which made the war competitive, although the ARROW side seemed to prevail. ARROW and SoF got into a pissing contest, however, and the war ended soon after. This war was critical in IX history because it showed IX leadership that IX had to be both bigger and better supplemented politically since it had fought all its wars against bigger enemy coalitions. Now that ARROW and SOL formed a bloc, and both IX and SoF were enemies with ARROW and SOL, the opportunity arose for IX to develop ties with former enemies in the MD/SoF camp and to participate in the creation of a new coalition.

DTA retired after one set as president and DeityLord returned to be president for one last set. His last actions were to organize a gangbang of FBI and to have IX split into the Illuminati Marshals and X tags. However, his last tenure proved short as he decided to leave the alliance and form The Lust with former IX leaders such as Alena, DTA, and Yheti.

IX was at 145 members just as several major changes took place. IX was finishing its transitional process in leadership and in orientation. Duque and Scarface became co-presidents in March 2003 after DeityLord's final departure from IX, and they presented a serious and solid leadership for the new age. Secondly, IX gained the huge Pinoy merger which gave it 60+ additional players to bolster its ranks. IX was a founder of the Ivy League, a coalition that included other powers such as MD and SoF. Going into 2002, IX now had the membership, the leadership, and the political support to seek domination.

IX won a grand victory against RAGE, Ragnarok and SOL within the LCN-SOL War of the spring of 2002. This war showcased a 225 member IX fighting and winning multiple fronts and becoming a major contender to SoF's solid grip on the #1 position. This war also marked the start of the long-standing IX-RAGE rivalry. To top it off, the 25 member EEVIL Empire merged into IX as a new reset began.

Summer approached and IX participated in the victorious TIL War I of June-July, 2002. IX was one of the coalition's Big Three and was able to contribute heavily to the coalition victory against ARROW and SOL's anti-TIL. IX was now at 250 members and still growing in potential and capacity. However, IX then decided to leave the coalition in August 2002 to go on its own. IX then won the total networth race of July-October 2002, capturing its only total net crown.

Duque and Scarface continued strengthening the IX superpower and positioned it in a position of privilege politically by the time that TIL War II began in November 2002. It could either help the coalition or the anti-coalition forces. IX chose to oppose SoF and side with ARROW, SOL and the anti-TIL. Through several major strikes, IX was able to contribute heavily in turning the tide against TIL and in winning the world war. IX became recognized as the most powerful alliance in the game due to its warring performances, its membership strength, and its political clout.

The end of TIL War II jettisoned the age of the Bots at the start of 2003. This was to be Duque and Scarface's last reset as co-presidents. Firstly, the IX and IM sites were merged to form a single IX website. Secondly, IX was hit by bots and crippled by the time SoF attacked IX. However, IX was now a member of the NATO coalition, the victors of TIL War II, and SoF was crushed by the allied response. Duque and Scarface retired after the NATO War (February-March 2003) and after leading IX to its first peak of power. The alliance became the top power in the game, albeit briefly, and this time of political turmoil and of IX conquest remains a fond time for IXers till this very day. The alliance inevitably declined afterwards, as it was targetted by bots and its membership decreased to 2001 membership levels.

Third Age, March 2003-January 2004

The third age of IX was its most trying. This time stands as the shortest epoch in IX history, and yet it was a moment in which IX fought to sustain itself as an alliance during the dark age of the Bot Wars (2003). IX was coming out of a golden age under Duque and Scarface, but the alliance was rapidly declining in strength. IX began the age at over 160 members on March 2003, a considerable decline from the 200+ it had been on the following reset. IX was also ruled by a Heads Council, a first in IX history, since there was no presidential successor to the Duque-Scarface duo. The alliance was botted during this time and suffered massive casualties. Other alliances of the time also sustained similar attacks. At the end of the reset about 130 IXers remained after what had been IX's most unproductive reset ever. Thankfully though, a new leader was on the way.

Mega became President of IX on June 2003, at the start of the June-August 2003 reset. She had been the most powerful head within the Heads Council due to her experience as Head of FA and Head of War for IX during late 2002 and 2003. Mega reigned as a powerful solo president, the first since DeityLord, and sought to stop IX's downward spiral. The 115 member IX was also faced with a war against its RAGE enemy. The 115 member RAGE attacked IX in late June 2003 and the decisive war of IX's year took place. RAGE established an early lead, but Mega was able to rally IX and crush its opponent after a 41 day war. IX was victorious again against its nemesis and for the time being it was faring well despite the bots. It was a top 5 alliance again.

IX looked to netgain during the August-October reset despite the bots. Following the victory in the Third RAGE War, IX was trying to increase numbers and make a solid showing on the networth charts. IX was faring well in this endeavor until 50 Pinoys were deleted after playing from an internet cafe. The incident led to widespread criticism of IX, since some of those Pinoys were actually cheating and it seemed that Mega's successes had been stopped by this event. It was surely the low point in her presidency. Nonetheless, some of these Pinoys were expelled from IX and the others restarted. IX finished with a decent albeit constrained showing in what was a tarnished reset.

The final and fourth reset of this age took place between November 2003 and January 2004. Mega decided to war this set and IX's aggressive politics were reflective of this. LCN and TH first got embroiled in a war and IX intervened in a quasi-war against TH. IX later declared war on CWG and forced them to surrender after 24 hours of bombardment. Mega was bound to retire after the end of this reset and a fourth war against RAGE was planned at this time as her going-away present. IX thus struck RAGE on January 1, 2004 and began the Fourth RAGE War, a conflict which briefly lasted until the end of the reset on January 10. IX crushed RAGE again in a swift victory.

The reset also ended with much promise for the Earth community. Mehul Patel promised security changes to help combat the bot plague which had afflicted Earth since January 2003. Thus alliances expected to be free from the bots and to engage in their usual practices without the robotic intervention. Mega led IX into this new age and helped sustain IX at a time when bots, internal weakness, and foreign enemies were threatening the very fabric of IX. IX survived and was able to soldier on into a new age, which was to be the most cataclysmic and glorious in IX history.

Fourth Age, January 2004-May 2005

The fourth age in IX history was its longest and also its most glorious. IX was the game's top alliance for over a year and exercised a level of power it had never held before. This was the Age of IX.

The epoch began on January 12, 2004 with de1i and Serpentor becoming the next co-presidents. IX was now free to do as it pleased without having the menace of the bots. The 130 member alliance participated in the defense of the NATO coalition during January 2004. However, this coalition ended abruptly in the middle of February. IX attacked Ragnarok one night and was surprised to see that ARROW and SOL were breaking pacts and declaring war on IX over the ILS Scandal. MD also broke a pact and attacked IX a few days later. NATO was shattered after this schism between the former allies and IX was gangbanged by ARROW, MD, SOL, and Ragnarok. The gangbang was brief but the action prompted IX leaders to plan a long-term revenge on ARROW and SOL only (relations with MD were rekindled). Also, IX recuperated and was able to defeat Ragnarok in the long run. Serpentor retired from active leadership at the end of this set and de1i took over as a solo president.

It fell on de1i and his FA staff to plan the war of revenge for the following April-May 2004 reset. IX was able to form an anti-ARROW/SOL task force comprised of IX, Steel, TIE, LaF, and MX. IX & allies then attacked and defeated ARROW, RAGE, SOL, and their allies during the TIS War. Most importantly, IX became the most powerful alliance in the game on this set, a 180 degree reversal in light of the previous set's gangbang. IX grew to 160 members and assembled a powerful allied base with which it could project power. IX thus began its long reign at the top of Earth power rankings and continued its wars of revenge on ARROW and SOL.

IX planned a second consecutive set of revenge against ARROW and SOL, which resulted in LaF fighting SOL, and IX fighting ARROW. LaF attacked SOL in June 2004 meanwhile IX prepared to attack ARROW. LaF fought a hard battle with SOL, and won in the end after gaining total control of breaking power. However, the Fifth ARROW-IX War was a blowout. The 195 member IX bombarded the 230 member ARROW with a 10,760 hit and 60 kill FS which left ARROW demolished and mortally wounded from day 1 of the war. IX also established what was then the biggest FS in game history (now the 3rd biggest). IX continued its war with ARROW and won a decisive victory. It also concluded its two-set punishment of ARROW and SOL.

By August 2004, IX was looking to defend some allies after having successfuly pursued its agenda on the previous two sets and having become the top alliance in the game. The possibility of more war with ARROW and SOL remained, but IX chose to defend TSW from UCN (an ancient enemy of IX). IX attacked UCN in defense of TSW, but also went ahead and pre-emptively attacked ICN, Elysium, and SOL, who were all coming in defense of UCN. IX had a stunning offensive against UCN, ICN, and Elysium but suffered irreparable losses once those three alliances were joined by SOL in a major counterattack. IX was crippled and its own mistakes led it to fight a two-fronted war it could not win. LCN and Unknown were called in to defeat SOL, but in the end IX was also defeated by the three enemy allies and the critical support they received from SOL.

Defeat in the Second IX-UCN War/Stooges War led IX leadership to look forward to a netgaining reset for October-November 2004. President de1i was in his last set as president due to a busy RL schedule, and his lack of activity had permitted IX to undergo the failed path of the previous set. More troubles loomed for IX however. ARROW and SOL had planned on their own campaigns of reprisal against IX during the fall of 2004 and gained the critical support of the MD/SoF mini-bloc. Combining the ARROW/SOL forces with those of the MD/SoF group, a massive coalition was formed to combat the IX bloc. World War IX began on October 30, 2004 with a series of attacks on IX and their allies. IX was hit by PDM and RAGE in a massive strike and fought an uphill battle. IX had grown to 230 members with the L2K merger and the alliance was strong enough to deliver a tour de force performance against PDM and RAGE. IX was able to defeat PDM with Ragnarok help, but was not able to kill RAGE. Most IX allies met defeat in their own fronts and thus World War IX was a general defeat of IX & allies. Following this second debacle, new leadership took over IX as President de1i left the stage.

Angelous and DTA became the new presidents of IX on December 2004 and they immediately began working to reverse IX's misfortune in the previous two sets. Angelous envisioned expanding IX power even more and in continuing the victories of de1i's first three sets as president. DTA also wanted to strengthen IX internally for the coming battles ahead. IX thus followed a second set of duels with ARROW and SOL. TIE attacked ARROW, meanwhile IX attacked SOL. TIE fought an uphill battle against ARROW and prevailed in the end, confirming it as one of the major powers in Earth. IX also defeated SOL in a war that was seen as a clash between the two top powers of the time (both at 180 members and leading Earth's two power blocs). It was IX's toughest duel ever and a proper return to form. As IX won the Seventh IX-SOL War, Angelous was already at work expanding IX's political base during January 2005 in an effort to finally crush ARROW/SOL and decisively win the vicious rivalry.

IX's efforts to expand its power continued into the February-March 2005 reset. It was an odd netgaining set for IX, as all the great powers of Earth were at peace. Proxy wars were common between the smaller allies of both sides. Firstly, Sanctuary attacked and defeated ICN with IX support. Secondly, MX was able to defeat TD. Lastly, the ARROW-backed Omega defeated the IX-backed Steel in a memorable war. IX's success that set rested on Angelous' ability to receive support from the MD/SoF group that had been so valuable for ARROW/SOL during World War IX.

IX planned to end the rivalry between its camp and ARROW/SOL's forces. IX thus formed the Project Arcturus coalition, a group comprised of IX, MD, PDM, SoF, and TIE, and set about planning for another world war during the spring of 2005. War plans were already in writing by the start of the April-May 2005 reset, as IX & allies awaited the coming battle. World War X then began on April 23, 2005 with massive coalition assaults on ARROW, SOL, and key allies. The war turned into a one-sided and devastating rout of the ARROW/SOL bloc after just a few days. IX received the majority of the ARROW/SOL side's attacks, but was still able to give the best warring performance of that set, leading all combatants in hits and kills. ARROW announced its departure from the game soon after and SOL asked IX for peace during private talks between Angelous and Dragon.

The 180 member IX was the unquestioned superpower of the game and was at the peak of its power as the age ended. It had won its year-long rivalry with the ARROW/SOL bloc and established itself as the top alliance in the game on the merits of its top war machine and its mastery of Earth politics. IX then marched on into another contested fifth age with a new leadership and in albeit lesser strength after being the top alliance for 7 resets straight.

Fifth Age, June 2005-January 2007

The fifth age of the Illuminati X began on June 2005 following the previous age's successful conclusion. The Angelous-DTA presidency was going into its fourth set when things abruptly changed. President Angelous exposed himself coordinating minor multi-running efforts and fellow President DTA had to exile him. IX was also weakening with the summer retirement of players, and its membership went down from 180+ to 160. This decline was furthered by the departure of Angelous and by the collapse of Project Arcturus. IX was not the top alliance after holding that distinction for the previous 7 sets. It was as if the alliance ran out of gas after steaming at full throttle. Nonetheless, DTA named Floyd and Kaiser Vice Presidents and gave them the reigns of the alliance.

IX invested the June-July 2005 set in helping allies. Floyd sought to reassert IX politically by aiding allies and securing a diplomatic end to the IX-SOL rivalry. IX and SOL agreed to an uNAP that ended the 1.5 year-old rivalry. Kaiser then helped Sky and Unknown plan for a war with Exodus and ICN, which ultimately proved successful. IX finally engaged Apoc and Vengeance in quick wars to defend LCN. IX then defended new allies MKR from RAGE in the Seventh IX-RAGE War. IX closed the reset by entering the Second Elysium-MD War and killing Elysium. DTA finally named Floyd and Kaiser Presidents and retired.

IX went into the August-September 2005 reset with a reduced membership of 130. SOL was the top alliance at this point and its relationship with IX was progressing. Project Arcturus was now dead and the slow realignment of alliances began. IX's own partnership with LCN was at an end, and IX refused to pact them after resets of disappointing relations. IX then sought revenge against RAGE for ruining IX's netting in the October-November 2004 reset. IX also had its allies attack some of RAGE's supporters. The vendetta worked well as IX was able to crush RAGE in their Eighth War; meanwhile, IX coordinated the allied defeat of ImagNum and ICN. IX ended the reset by also smashing Citadel.

The alliance grew to 140 members on the following October-November 2005 reset. The realignment of Earth blocs was ongoing with IX and SOL finally becoming allies and IX's relations with LCN worsening. Likewise, MD was increasingly turning anti-IX just as it was fighting wars with SOL, IX's new ally. Kiwi's Suck. LCN's own actions this set led to war with IX. LCN feared an IX attack and lobbied for a military alliance with SOL. SOL notified IX and this led to the destruction of LCN in the First IX-LCN War. IX also attacked Monsters during that war to settle some disputes between Floyd and Monsters' leadership.

The December 2005-January 2006 reset brought upon the culmination of the IX-SOL entente since both alliances signed a FDP. IX and SOL both wanted to kill LCN and had no other plans for the set. Since IX had just killed LCN, IX ultimately agreed to let SOL attack LCN in exchange for a friendly war between IX and SOL, the top two powers in the game. SOL agreed and demolished LCN. The 145 member IX then attacked the 195 member SOL and the Ninth IX-SOL War ensued, where SOL dominated the smaller IX before a ceasefire agreement. The experience cemented IX-SOL relations despite the war game setback. In addition, LCN's gravitation toward a developing anti-IX/SOL bloc led by MD and Elysium led IX, SOL, and TIE, to engage even more in joint planning.

The first true fighting between the IX/SOL/TIE (TIS) bloc and the MD/Elysium bloc, product of the ongoing Earth political realignment, began during the February-March 2006 reset. IX was at 145 members and was struck by the 160+ member Elysium. SOL also had to make a preemptive strike on LCN, Omega, and MD, starting the LMaO-SOL War. IX and SOL coordinated general war strategies to win both conflicts. IX called in several allies and SOL called in TIE, meanwhile RAGE was busy destroying IX allies Sanctuary and Evolution. IX & allies defeated Elysium and their allies in the Third Elysium-IX War, meanwhile SOL and TIE defeated the LMaO triumvirate. With the wars over, LaF joined the TIS bloc, but RAGE and SoF joined the MD/Elysium bloc. The realignment was now complete and this set's wars paved the way for a clash of coalitions on the following reset.

A world war reset erupted during April-May 2006, with the TIS and MD/Elysium coalitions preparing for war. It was the culmination of the year-long realignment and the war Floyd and Kaiser had promised. IX was at 148 members when the TIS bloc made a preemptive attack on Elysium and LCN, starting World War XI. The war exploded immediately as all great powers joined within 48 hours. IX and SOL became the target of the MD/Elysium coalition; meanwhile, IX and SOL fought back and their allies methodically broke each of the 16 alliances and clans on the MD/Elysium side. The war ended in a total victory for TIS & allies with the defeated alliances suing for peace and pact outs.

General peace broke out on the following June-July 2006 reset since many top alliances pacted out. IX and SOL, however, planned on warring. Half of the previous set's enemy bloc was permitted to net meanwhile the other half was left unpacted and targeted. SOL killed SoF and Exodus meanwhile IX began its own wars. IX grew to 160 members this set and warred ImagNum, Ragnarok, MPE, Vengeance, and NeoFederation in consecutive campaigns. IX's coalition held strong throughout the set and IX enjoyed the comfort of controlling the server along with its allies.

IX changed its pace and decided to netgain with a reduced 140 members for the August-September 2006 reset. Nonetheless, it coordinated the outcome of the set with allied wars. In addition, IX and its partners were succesful in inciting internal wars between the enemy camp. IX and its allies lured SoF and ImagNum into destroying Elysium and RAGE independently fought LCN. Ultimately IX & allies controlled the netgaining ranks with TIE, IX, and LaF occupying the top networth ranks. IX finished with a #2 rank in total networth, its second best ever. It also participated in the Axis gangbang on ImagNum at the end of the set. President Kaiser then retired at the end of the reset after a year in power and Floyd remained as sole president.

War began very quickly during the October-November 2006 reset when Elysium circumvented pacts by attacking IX and LaF within RAGE's tag. IX's coalition in turn crushed both Elysium and RAGE in a decisive engagement. Elysium thereafter admitted defeat in its struggle with IX and Hardy stepped down. The reset, however, continued with change and transition. IX's internal power had been declining since July with a decreasing membership that had gone down to 125 members. Many leaders and veterans also followed Kaiser's retirement. General SlagPit, the Head of War,retired from IX in October. President Floyd then retired in early November after 7.5 resets in the presidency. Angelous followed suit. IX thus began November without some of its senior leaders and with a new leadership that was now under the command of new President Warrior.
