TKO history

old FFA

Started in FFA in Earth 2025 in 2004 by Heinz, Shadow, Warster and Zany.

All that is known for sure is TKO mostly netted, with its only FS being on KWA (lead by ketchup) due to his ineptness at 1) Running a clan and 2) FA. TKO decimated KWA, killing 80 countries in 4 days before a CF was arranged.

More info to come as old vets scrounge there computers for any useful info!

UM/EC

Moved to the UM server when the FFA server was closed. In its second set, with a lot of Monsters members in its tag, it had its best finish for NW finishing second in TNW. TKO was one of the last small FFA alliances that survived on the 1 country server, out-lasitng NBK and USIMP, in late 2008 TKO closed its doors as most tko players had retired.

More info to come as vets try to find useful info!

New FFA return

TKO returned in January, 2010 when the FFA started back up, officially reforming in set 2, but not properly and fully making a comeback until set 4.

TKO Earth Empires FFA results

Round 1

Ketchup had created a solo netting tag in FFA, when contacted by other TKOers about recreating TKO. It is decided that they should wait till set 2 to form properly. A few TKOers net peacefully under IPU tag. 7 countries finished in the top 100. The only instance of conflict was with a few small countries ketchup was grabbing. It resulted in 9 TKO casualties and 31 kills.

Round 2

Countries - 30

Total Net 15TH - $106,511,497

Average 14TH - $3,550,383

The reset stared well, had 60 countries. 2 weeks into the set Ketchup got swamped with schoolwork and went inactive. Warster later detags to aid friends and get the rust off his killing skills. Troytiger detags to make tag WILD. At the end of set TKO only had 30 countries tagged, half of which were barely OOP. Beo was the only member with his countries run for most of the set.

Round 3

TKO didn't field a tag this set. Ketchup remained retired from last set, Troy remained in WILD and Warster continued in AoDT

Round 4

Countries 4th - 242

Total Net 2nd - $13,740,532,642

Deaths - 0

The reset started well with 112 countries. Warster had managed to get Ketchup out of his short lived retirement and we managed to convince some former TKO members to return to play.

2 weeks into the set, NBK hits AoDT, continuing a long standing conflict between the two. AoDT leadership decided they didn't want to fight an OOP war as they could tell their members were not interested, and most of AoDT did not want to war anymore. After a bit of deliberation TKO gave AoDT a home to net in for the coming set. NBK wasn't too happy with the idea potentially fearing a regroup and attack. Warster managed to work it out after a 4 hour IRC chat with NBK leadership, thanks in part to TKO and NBKs history in old FFA as friends - as well as TKO having a reputation as being an honest clan. This did take a bit of toll on the relationship between TKO and NBK.

The reset went along quietly, without incident, until 2 members who came from AoDT detagged and suicided on LAE. Warster, along with NBK and LAE members killed off the 32 countries involved and TKO agreeed to pay LaE reps of over 1 billion food, paid by Warster. The rest of the reset went along mostly in peace. Near the end of the set a TKO country sent a few missiles and attacks at NBK requiring some FA work to be done. All was resolved and the set ended fairly well for TKO.

Despite paying out over 1 billion in food in reps, and having a fair amount of AoDTers who weren't the best at netting (40 countries under 10m NW), TKO finished the set fairly well coming in 2nd in TNW behind PANLV and 2nd in ANW behind Dynasty - though Dynasty did drop a few countries in the final 48 hours to get the ANW title.

TKO finished with a total of 27 countries top 100, with 4 of those being top 25 and the best finish being 7th.

A few more former TKOers came back to net but not many AoDTers stuck around in TKO this set. TKO membership took a sharp decline back to previous levels. TKO had its most peaceful set in its existence. The sole exception, being one person ketchup was grabbing (Bauer) and his tag (NTS) began retalling TKO countries that had not touched him since he couldn't retal ketchup. This lead to the 16 NTS countries being killed. 5 managed to run into vacation mode but were swiftly taken care of once he was kicked out.

Early on in set RoCK declared war on LaE, meaning LaE blew a week or two of turns killing countries and more LaE countries ended up within the range of their typical suiciders - hurting their netting set. Later in the set, NBK hit PANLV leaving TKO and SoF as the only netting tags left with over 100m NW. IMP and FoCuS continued their wars.

With a month left in the set PAN and NBK ended their conflict with a CF. NBK being a war clan and against self farming began targeting countries with large land and low defenses. Even if you had decent defense - if you had too much land you were bound to get hit by them. TKO had to deal with 2-3 grabs a day from NBK for a week or two, leading them to make a few designated retallers. A few clans were not pleased with NBKs attacks and had a few members over-react leading in loss of land for them or NBK killing a few countries. TKO managed to keep its members in control, and began a campaign to get the most out of each retal. TKOs retaller would drop or climb NW anywhere from 4m to 15m in order to get maximum gains on retals. After ghost acres most hits ended with TKO gaining 500-2000 acres. NBK was still gaining more but in comparison to other tags TKO wasn't that great a grab target. Gaining the respect of NBK for retalling saw multiple NBKers cease any grabs on TKO, with a few citing that as reason. With the decline in grabs TKO went into full netgain mode again with only 1-2 grabs a week. The retaller was so effective that it transferring the land back the owner ended up with it being in the top 10 in defends at sets end, even during a heavy warset with many great walling efforts.

Near the end there was a battle for TNW. TKO had more or less taken ANW crown, as long as no one detagged from LaE to make a solo tag, but TKO still had to overcome a 200 country deficit to LaE for the TNW. TKO started to take a bit of a lead when LaE had some internal turmoil stemming from some 16v.16 wars they arranged for members not fully netting. This lead to a few members detagging and creating KA which carried on into the next set. TKO took TNW by a fair margin and set the current FFA record for ANW.

This is the first set with $38 food (private market value w/max tech) for destock, so all NWs were slightly higher. TKO blew its former records out of the water. A few members had great sets, with Bart surpassing 100m personal ANW, Troytiger surpassing 150m personal ANW and Ketchup surpassing 200m personally ANW. The majority of members had good netting sets, and with no weak countries dragging them down, set an impressive 107m ANW mark.

TKO managed to place 54 of its 112 countries in the top 100 meaning more than half of top 100 countries were TKOers. TKO had 33 of the top 50, and 12 of the top 25 with 2 countries top 10. TKO traditionally has more top 100 countries then top 10 proportionally due to the fact that not many TKOers do FA chains or self farm to pump up one country. Troytiger finished the set with the 2nd ranked country at 854m NW, Bart nearly had all his countries in the top 50 (lowest finish was 55th) and Ketchup, save his retaller which hurt from all the NW variations it made, had all his in the top 50.

Was one of the less eventful sets in TKO history. PANLV had an early war, leaving the door open for TKO to take another TNW crown. HRock took ANW, a solo tag. It was one of the smaller margins of victory for TNW in recent history, as PAN finished just 1.5b NW behind TKO, with one member detagging a 500m NW country.

TKO put up 13 top 25 countries, and 4 of them top 10. TKO also set a new country TNW record, at just under 1 bil.

After a relaxing laid back set, there was more going on this set. Set started out normal netting as per TKOs norms. Slagpit was in TKO for this set, attempting to try FFA with something new. Early into the set Slagpit had a giant country, the largest by 10 times at that time. IMP decided to do a kill run on the country, due to slagpit deleting and banning a player for action primarily from primary. TKO viewed this as unacceptable, as did EarthEmpires moderators and owners, with pang commenting against it. Slagpit however asked TKO to remain out of it and he would handle it on its own. Through a few weeks of tense negotiations TKO decided against taking agreesive ingame action and worked out an FA agreement.

Swords warred, and lost, to Sanct(under Xtiction tag). In past sets swords has attacked TKO with landgrabs out of war, which TKO has found annoying as there is no ways to retal to get the land back. Due to this fact a few TKO countries decided to grab swords after there war a few times as a form of redemption.

Swords decided to retal 120 hours after the grab, well past the retal period, and used an all jetter. TKO used its all jetter retal policy and took L:L. Swords didn't like this which started a grabbing war. TKO discussed and agreed upon a 72 hour DNH with swords to calm the situation down. A few hours later, m0b had thought ketchup went to bed and began a kill run on him. Unfortunately for him, he was still on and proceeded to wall, loosing no countries. m0b then was able to do 2 kill runs on drinks countries, ketchup sniping one. After that they killed 1 inactive. TKO had its first warchat since returning to EE in response. The turnout was pretty good for a netting clan, with 9 members being online within 3 hours. TKO began to decimate swords and show it knew how to kill. This war led to Swords disbanding and separating into two sides: PoD which was led by dedlysmurf, and Pimps which was Buros and m0b. Pimps proceeded to disband at the end of the set. Since the majority of the attacks came from the Pimps half of swords TKO has developed decent relations with PoD. TKO ended up with just short of 50 kills to 4 kills for swords. Bastion, Drinks, Ketchup and Warster attended nearly all warchats which helped in leading to a quick dismissal of swords few decent countries after their long war with Xtinction

Outside of TKOs conflict the rest of the server was in war. KA warred CC. Xtinxtion warred Swords. NBK warred xGD (Focus and Pan). Swords warred TKO. CC warred IMP. Xctinct hit IMp. Ares, Revolt, CC hit Xctinction.

The only tags that didn't war were solo tags. TKOs war was the least destructive. TKO ended up owning the ranks. They placed all of the top 10 (top country outside of TKO was 18th), 21 of top 25 and 88 of the top 100. All of which are new records. The numbers themselves were not that impressive, with thousands of turns being burned to kill swords countries. TKO did finish first in TNW and ANW again.
