Pandora's Last Vikings Retal Policy

2011-11-08T04:45:00Z

Havoc:

Pandoras Last Vikings retal policy for unpacted clans/countries:

PANLV only allows one hit per country in 48h against us.

1:1
2:3
3:6
4+ kill
Harmful spy ops, missiles, GSs, BRs and ABing - 2:1/kill

If there is more than 5 hits from the same alliance in 24h, the 6th will be retalled 2:1, ect. (all hits on diff countries)

Reverse 2 stepping:

If someone is self-farming--you cannot grab outside the clan with a country you've hit for at least 72 hours, and you should not be farming your country down to nothing, waiting 72 hours and then going out and attacking other countries.

The basic idea here is if you use your countries as farms, it shouldn't preclude you from ever making landgrabs with that country. The idea is NOT to screw other people over from having any legitimate shot at retaliating.

*You can farm you retaller AFTER the retal. Just do it withing 24h.
*Reverse 2 stepping will be retalled same way than 2 stepping.

GDI:

If one of our countries is in GDI declaring war is NOT an acceptable circumvention of GDI rules. if you want to grab that country you can either buy up into range or deal with the fact that you cannot grab it. We will be taking L:L on all hits done by declaring war on a GDI country.

Jetter policy:

With all the bonuses given to the attacker, including the planned strike bonus, 3 offensive ally slots compared to 2 defensive ally slots and the new bonuses that can help one's attack strength even further, we at PANLV feel that it has become truly impossible to defend one's land against someone who is specifically targeting someone and who is very motivated to make the break. While we fully understand the thoughts expressed by other clans along the lines of "If you can't defend your land, it's not your land" and can fully get on board with this idea for low-defense land-farms, etc., if it takes someone running 80% or more jets in order to break a country, then it IS well defended, and thus we will look at each of those cases individually and determine if it is an intentional targeting of a particular country with the use of a jetter.

We are NOT pushing towards the implementation of a top-feeding policy, as we do agree with other clans on the idea that if someone doesn't make any attempt to defend their land, they have no claim to hold onto their land. We encourage other clans to adopt the same policies, but regardless, these are the rules we intend to play by, and that we'd be happy to abide by for other clans that want to adopt them as well.

*if the country is 80% jets, +/- few %´s, its an all jetter and it can only be used for retals. How to count the %: jets/(turrets+jets)*100
*All hits by jetter will be looked case by case and will be retalled 1:1, 2:1 or more, depends how intentional the hit was.

If another alliance is involved, there should be FA contact for anything other than the 1:1.

Pandora's Last Vikings is an alliance in the Free For All Server.

Brief History
Pandora's Last Vikings is a long-time Earth: 2025 and Earth Empires clan. PANLV is primarily a netgaining clan, but will war when necessary.

Since the launch of Earth Empires, PANLV has gone from a small netgaining clan of only 49 countries in the January to March 2010 reset to winning the Total Networth crown by nearly 2 billion total networth in the July to September, 2010 reset.

It was originally relaunched by MadMorticia with help from Joeskin and Juusto.

Notable Sets
Third set - PANLV was embroiled in a battle over land:land retals (a policy commonly used in the Alliance game, but not so much in Free For All) with SoF. Eventually this issue turned into a war between PANLV and FoCuS on one side against SoF and IMP on the other side. While PANLV took the brunt of the attacks, PANLV and FoCuS prevailed as PANLV focused most of their attacks on SoF (at the time a much smaller clan than PANLV) while FoCuS entered the war after IMP and SoF both had been hitting PANLV, tipping the advantage back to PANLV and FoCuS.

Fourth set - PANLV won Total Networth this set in a three-way race between PANLV, The King's Order, and Legends at Earth. PANLV finished with approximately 15.6B networth and a 46M average to win the crown. PANLV also registered three top 10s, with malykii finishing 3rd overall, Havoc finishing 9th overall, and Twain finishing 10th overall.

Fifth set - PANLV was declared on by Natural Born Killers, a far superior war clan who basically roughed up PANLV most of the set.

Sixth set - After a brief war with Swords, PANLV netted out the set finishing 2nd for TNW.

Seventh set - PANLV, Killers Anonymous (a spin-off of Legends of Earth), and FoCuS found a defensive coalition known as Gregg's Disciples (xGD). Natural Born Killers decided to try to take on the coalition after KA had already been declared on, leaving NBK to fight 2 vs. 1 against FoCuS and PANLV. The early returns of the war pointed towards NBK having an advantage, due to their first strike, but PANLV and FoCuS worked well together and put up a solid war effort to eventually defeat NBK. This war was (and as of the writing of this, still is) the biggest war seen on the Free For All server, with NBK registering 831 kills, while FoCuS and PANLV together registered 1,251 kills (PANLV had 786 of those kills).

Eight set - Though suffering a slight drop in numbers, PANLV had a clean netting set (aside from many grabs from NBK who were also netting), and finished 3rd for TNW, and 3rd for ANW. Losing out on the ANW crown to 2 one man tags.

Website/Chat
PANLV's website can be found at PANLV's Boxcar
Chat is available on the GameSurge server. Channel name is #panlv. The chatroom is generally open to the public unless PANLV is actively warring.

Pandora's Last Vikings Retal Policy

2011-06-12T15:42:34Z

Havoc: Created page with "Pandoras Last Vikings retal policy for unpacted clans/countries: PANLV only allows one hit per country in 48h against us. 1:1 2:3 3:6 4+ kill Harmful spy ops, missiles, GSs, B..."

- You can farm you retaller AFTER the retal. Just do it withing 24h.

- Reverse 2 stepping will be retalled same way than 2 stepping.

- if the country is 80% jets, +/- few %´s, its an all jetter and it can only be used for retals. How to count the %: jets/(turrets+jets)*100

- All hits by jetter will be looked case by case and will be retalled 1:1, 2:1 or more, depends how intentional the hit was.

If another alliance is involved, there should be FA contact for anything other than the 1:1.

Twain is a member of Pandora's Last Vikings on the Free For All server. He's played in Pandora's Last Vikings since the 3rd set of FFA. Prior to that time, Twain played in Legends at Earth. He previously went by Hemingway and Lord Matthew TIE in the Free For All game in Earth: 2025 and was the leader of TIE on the Free For All server for the majority of its existence.

His best finish on the server is 10th in the 4th set of Free For All. He's generally only an above-average player, but notably is slightly ahead of Havoc is almost every career category in Free For All. Suck it, Havoc!

*rolls his eyes* - Havoc
