History
Involved in the LCN/Fist/Omega vs ImagNum/SoL war of June 2010.

<SEE SUMMARY OF RESETS?
Background
The Omega was formed in fall 1998 as a group of elite netgainers by Mr. Niphty and Castejon. Many people mark the game with Pre-Omega and Post-Omega, in that before The Omega came, tags did not exist. The Omega was bound to make great change and they did with a strong anti-cheating stance. After a split between Mr Niphty and Castejon, Mr Niphty led the Omega and The Omega found itself at war with RoCK. Quickly humbled, JerBu stepped up to lead the Omega and befriended RoCK and joined the Rockfamily. JerBu soon stepped over and leadership of the Omega was turned over to a trio of Tafkas, Josie and Ench. <br>
Later on, they would come to fight RoCK in wars, as they stood by the alliance Moral Decay whom they had allied with. This began a long term friendship that lasts to this day. Early in The Omega's history, during the Tiger reset, the Survival of the Fittest SoF broke off from The Omega. At this point Tafkas retired from the Omega and leadership was in the hands of Josie and Ench.
This break with SoF resulted in tension between the two alliances, but they later became friends and allies. This alliance, that should have been a netgaining alliance, started it's life in war after war after war. However, the Omega was destined to be a netgaining alliance and over time, took her proper place at that table.

The Omega's Migration to the Earth Council Server
Shortly after Earth Council came into existance, The Omega made the painful choice to move to the new server and to escape the cheaters that had long ruined the Alliance Server and very nearly brought The Omega to its knees. The move was intended to give a new start in a cleaner environment.

Player: Gramberto

AKA: Ryan

History

He bagan his earth career in 1B, making a name for himself by always been ruthless ingame and making a multitude of threats on the Earth-Talk boards, but usually following them up.
He was recruited by El Paco to take over the leadership of LaF following Daniels retirement.

With LaF's recent strong victory in 1a, Gramberto knew that many feared LaF as well as that many would be gunning for them. He decided to take advantage of this by signing many interesting pacts. An example of one such one was with Omega.(LaF may grab Omega 1x per time with no retal, should Omega grab a LaF it is dealt with x2 retals)[editor: such pacts were not uncommon at the time]. He also took advantage of it by setting up a no land grab policy for the Dons (the fighting branch of LaF) - the Dons were allowed to grab and expected to play agressively, but outside landgrabs on the Dons were not tolerated. Before the end of that second reset, Gramberto would manage to pilot LaF into a major gangbang, and in the process create the RoCK family, the first major coalition in 1a, dawning the coalition age.

The war had several starting points. Gramberto's co-leader, Dal, got tired of playing the good cop to Gramberto's bad cop and stepped down. Now Gramberto was the only face of LaF, and without Dal to smooth ruffled feathers, the situation quickly deteriorated. Four countries suicided on Gramberto's country. SOL, looking to gain closer relations with LaF killed them (land kills, since population kills were impossible at the time). Gramberto incorrectly took this to mean that SOL was behind the countries and declared war on SOL (the reality was that the 4 countries were someone's throw away multis, and Gramberto had many enemies who did not hesitate to use such tactics). SOL had already fought RD earlier in the reset, and were not in fighting condition, but were joined by their FDP, SG. At the same time as the SOL saga was unfolding, Don Rackman attempted to steal tech from an Omegan, Tafkas. His was caught on one of his ops and Tafkas retalliated with two hits on Rackman's country. LaF, not believing that Rackman had done the spy ops retaliated Omega's retals. Omega (with RoCK's backing) declared war on LaF and was joined by RoCK and TGA. Simultaneously, a retal dispute with HAN led to HAN declaring war on LaF. During the war effort, RoCK brought all three factions (RoCK/TGA/Omega, SOL/SG, and HAN) into a coalition and reestablished their dominance in 1A.

Gramberto appointed Viper as his co-leader, but the fall out from the disastrous war, both internal and external led to Gramberto resigning from LaF in the early days of the Winter 1998/1999 reset. Viper, bowing to the wishes of his membership turned LaF into a passive netgaining alliance, and LaF would never again be a military force in 1a.

Gramberto retired from LaF at the end of that reset turning over leadship to Viper. He had felt that he accomplished what he had wanted to, turning all the hatred towards LaF towards himself, considering himself a martyr. Unfortunately not many, including LaF players saw it this way and began to openly critisize him.

To get "even" he decided to gather a group of multies and bots to suicide on all LaF countries for three resets.

Gramberto played his next few resets in general peace acting as an advisor for MD and a number of smaller clans before joining 1b again.

Player: Mr. Niphty

AKA: Rook

History
Mr. Niphty was caught running mutlis in early 1998 and briefly hounded out of the public eye. This was a time when multis were in common use and were fine unless you got caught, and then you got ostracized. Like Anthony Coilli, Mr. Niphty had a vivid reaction to being tarred and feathered. Whereas Coilli founded ENN, Mr. Niphty went to work creating an alliance to hunt and kill cheaters. Along with Castejon, Mr. Niphty took a faction of UBN and formed the Omega.

Castejon and Mr. Niphty had a falling out early in Omega's first reset, and Castejon left the alliance with Mr. Niphty in charge (Castejon would go on to found LCN). Omega's open recruitment through the solarianet forums led to an alliance made up largely of spies and spammers, and was not liked by the establishment.

About a month into the reset, someone claiming to be a "Solarianet Administrator" made a post on RoCK's public forum telling them to do a certain thing to a certain part of the male anatomy. RoCK claimed to have traced the post back to Mr. Niphty and used it as a justification to attack Omega. The attack was a slaughter, and many Omegans (including most of the spies) left the alliance, leaving it at about a third of it's start of reset size.

Mr. Niphty remained in Omega as a semi-active regular member until being kicked out of the alliance during the WWIII reset for unspecified reasons. At this point Mr. Niphty pretty much disappeared from the earth:2025 radar.

A few years later, Rook surfaced, mainly on the general talk message board and in the non-alliance servers. Rook built a reputation as a sensible and mature poster on the forums, eventually becoming a Swirve mod. After a while Rook was revealed to be Mr. Niphty, but a far more mature and balanced version. Rook would later rejoin the Omega and be a productive member for several years before eventually retiring from the game.

Player: Ronnie
AKA: Taluba, Mr Yellow, Ant

History

Ronnie started as a 1b (primary) player under the country name Milsbeek. Which was named for his home town. He quickly drew fame by winning his first reset played. He was recruited to Omega for there first reset. When the mass excodus of Omegan players began that reset Ronnie was recruited by Gramberto to join LaF.

At the same time, Ronnie was engaged in an unprecedented level of cheating in tournament, starting with the November 1998 reset, where he had as many a half dozen countries in each of the bottom ladder rungs. Fighting between the other tourny players and Ronnie in subsequent resets united the players who would later make up SoF's core.

He quickly rose in the ranks, and when the alliance was left at virtual ruin by a previous leader and being smashed by multies ran by a group organized by Gramberto, Ronnie began presidency of LaF.

He was able to negotiate peace with nearly everyone and was able to make LaF the virtual version of Switzerland. They were NAPed to all, Allied to none.

He also was recruited by Patience to TIE where he stayed for 1 reset, winning that round.

Resets later he was recruited to IX to hide, once he began being targeted by mulites that aimed for notable netgaining players. He won that reset aswell. A few resets later without much else to accomplish in the game he was recruited to RD by Mr.Grey . Although He had previously turned down a position, it gave him an opportunity to be a "Bad Guy" in the game. (Mr. Yellow was already part of RD well before joining IX).

Once again he excelled and became one of the most Notorious Colors of all time. Helping to orchastrate the falls of great alliances such as Titans, UCN, and others. This was done through the use of cheating on a massive scale.

Hacking.

Compulsive liar. Had the ability to win any server at any time based on innate ability, but still always cheated.

Achievements

Has won 1B (primary) two times in a row.

Simultainiously had 4 countries in the top rung of the tournament server, a feat never equaled (and very much against the rules of the game).

Has won 1A (alliance) three times cleanly
edit: is believed to have run his own tech farms for all of his alliance game victories. These tech farm often became tank suiciders when Ronnie's alliance fought wars. These multis were first blamed on Hans, but the fact that Ronnie was engaged in massive cheating in Tourny at this time

Has 3 more 1A (alliance) Top Ten Finishes.

Has won 1A (alliance) a 4th time, but an unclean victory.

Along with Tiger was one of the defining forces behind the formation of Survival of the Fittest.

AKA: Coilli

History

Could an OLD SOL player post here.

[You'd need a really old SOL or UCN member for this - like Norcal or Klingon old. I think he was drummed out of mainstream alliance membership for cheating before SOL was an independent alliance.]

Caught for cheating in an era when cheating was tolerated unless you got caught, Anthony Ciolli(sp?) was hounded from the alliance server. He returned with a vengeance, founding the Earth News Network (ENN). ENN was founded by 6 co-editors, but 5 of them left until only Anthony remained. Early ENN content was general news about the happenings of the alliance server (game 1A), with human interest stories mixed in. Anthony had an intense dislike for the establishment that hypocritically drove him from 1A and railed against them in his editorials, leading to clashes with his co-editors, and their departure before the end of the first reset of ENN's existance. With Anthony in charge, ENN evolved very quickly into a platform for muckraking and investigative reporting on the cheating in 1A, and eventually command central for the underground war against RD (and later Elitez).

It was rumored that Anthony had a roll in aiding Gramberto's bot attacks on LaF by putting Gramberto in contact with a bot writer and later bot attacks against the RoCK succession alliances and RD, but this writer is not aware of any of the rumors being substantiated.

bb was one of the heads of the Rise of the Chinese Kingdoms alliance, later RoCK. He helped create the RoCK website, which was revolutionary for its time. The RoCK site had the first searchable country/news database and included many of the tools (as well of the appearance) of today's boxcar. Oversaw the expansion of RoCK's website first to host RoCK's allies (RoCKfamily.com), and then selected outsiders (RoCKcorps.com) and eventually expanding to host most of 1a as Gamerstown. His accomplishments in revolutionizing the tools used by alliances in earth2025 helped fuel the explosion in 1a's number count and merits him inclusion in the Earth2025/Earth Empires Hall of Fame, if such an institution ever appears. When combined with his leadership role in the game's first mega-alliance, his accomplishments put him on the short list for first ballot inclusion.

Was caught abusing his admin access to read Omega's head forum, which contributed to WWIII and several alliance's distrust of the RoCK/gamerstown hosted sites for sensitive communication, which in turn led to the development of several single alliance sites.

Alleged to have some involvement in the writing of the Tiger bot, and alleged RD member following the break up of RoCK. If those allegations are accurate, he played a major role in both the growth of the game and its decline, a rare distinction indeed.
