Pandora's Last Vikings is an alliance in the Free For All Server.

Brief History
Pandora's Last Vikings is a long-time Earth: 2025 and Earth Empires clan. PANLV is primarily a netgaining clan, but will war when necessary.

Since the launch of Earth Empires, PANLV has gone from a small netgaining clan of only 49 countries in the January to March 2010 reset to winning the Total Networth crown by nearly 2 billion total networth in the July to September, 2010 reset.

It was originally relaunched by MadMorticia with help from Joeskin and Juusto.

Notable Sets
Third set - PANLV was embroiled in a battle over land:land retals (a policy commonly used in the Alliance game, but not so much in Free For All) with SoF. Eventually this issue turned into a war between PANLV and FoCuS on one side against SoF and IMP on the other side. While PANLV took the brunt of the attacks, PANLV and FoCuS prevailed as PANLV focused most of their attacks on SoF (at the time a much smaller clan than PANLV) while FoCuS entered the war after IMP and SoF both had been hitting PANLV, tipping the advantage back to PANLV and FoCuS.

Fourth set - PANLV won Total Networth this set in a three-way race between PANLV, The King's Order, and Legends at Earth. PANLV finished with approximately 15.6B networth and a 46M average to win the crown. PANLV also registered three top 10s, with malykii finishing 3rd overall, Havoc finishing 9th overall, and Twain finishing 10th overall.

Fifth set - PANLV was declared on by Natural Born Killers, a far superior war clan who basically roughed up PANLV most of the set.

Sixth set - After a brief war with Swords, PANLV netted out the set finishing 2nd for TNW.

Seventh set - PANLV, Killers Anonymous (a spin-off of Legends of Earth), and FoCuS found a defensive coalition known as Gregg's Disciples (xGD). Natural Born Killers decided to try to take on the coalition after KA had already been declared on, leaving NBK to fight 2 vs. 1 against FoCuS and PANLV. The early returns of the war pointed towards NBK having an advantage, due to their first strike, but PANLV and FoCuS worked well together and put up a solid war effort to eventually defeat NBK. This war was (and as of the writing of this, still is) the biggest war seen on the Free For All server, with NBK registering 831 kills, while FoCuS and PANLV together registered 1,251 kills (PANLV had 786 of those kills).

Eight set - Though suffering a slight drop in numbers, PANLV had a clean netting set (aside from many grabs from NBK who were also netting), and finished 3rd for TNW, and 3rd for ANW. Losing out on the ANW crown to 2 one man tags.

Ninth set - In a set where fellow top netting clan candidate The King's Order was dedicated to warring, PANLV took advantage and won the Total Networth crown with a near record $21,277,977,879 (2nd only to Legends at Earth record during the third round, a round where LaE had 390 countries). PANLV also set the bar high with what would have been a record for a tag with more than 1 member for Average Networth as well at $122 million per country, except that Mercs Inc. set a new record in this same set (albeit with fewer than 100 countries, at 84).

The first round of the Free For All Server was the resurrection of a game that had been closed since June 5, 2006; many players who had played in the Free For All Server on Earth: 2025 came back to try out the new game in Earth Empires.

Events
This is the only FFA set in Earth Empires without ghost acres.

The Player llaar created the first country in EE history with over a million acres.

Legends at Earth, under the tag GetLaEd dominated the server from a netgaining standpoint, winning the Total Networth crown with over 13 billion in total networth, which was actually greater than the next four clans combined (Dynasty, RoCK, Asylum/AoDT and SYN). LaE also had 55 of the top 100 countries and 6 of 10 top 10 countries. They were also significantly larger than all the other clans on the server that set, finishing with 503 countries, well over twice that of the 2nd biggest clan, the Asylum of Dark Templars (Asylum/AoDT), who had 188 countries tagged at end of set.

Dynasty won the Average Networth crown with 44M per country and were 2nd in Total Networth despite being only 7th in Membership with 78 countries.

This set also played host to the first in a series of wars between The Asylum of Dark Templars and Natural Born Killers, which would become a major rivalry over the course of the next several sets. In this particular installment, Asylum won decisively and finished with a 15.7M Average Networth vs. NBK's 826k Average Networth. Even though this isn't in "wiki" style to express this in such a way, I'm going to go ahead and hope that someone can add hit and kill numbers to further express how this war went.

$2 billion bug

The $2 billion bug is a problem first encountered in Earth: 2025 where the maximum amount of money or food a country could have was $2 billion. This bug is still in effect on some servers, but has been removed on the Free For All and Express servers, instead being replaced by a 0.1% corruption rate per turn on any cash beyond $2 billion.

This most notably affects gameplay as players can sell larger portions of military and food on the public market without the possibility of losing any amount of money beyond $2 billion.

The Free For All server is a clan-based server that is unique in that it allows players to control multiple countries. The current limit is sixteen countries.

Another notable rule change from May 2010 was the removal of the $2 billion bug and the replacement with a 0.1% corruption rate on cash over $2 billion.

Indy

2010-09-28T00:58:52Z

Twain: grammar edit.

Advantages: instant military production, usually lots of time to build CS, flexible, simple, good at fighting, excellent and fast startup

Disadvantages: high expense late game, market-dependent, high market commission, production is less than other strats (with tech)

This is the most basic strategy in Earth. All beginners should start by mastering the indy strat. Basically construct all industrial complexes. You supply yourself with money not by normal cash income, but from selling military (30% of your military) on the public market. Besides the initial 60 or so farms in your first 100 turns (see the "Starting Up" section for more info), you should not build anymore farms unless food gets over $47. Get indy tech preferably after the first week. A pure indy will not do well without industrial tech. During midgame, get bus/res tech as well since this reduces your heavy expenses, but only get this after you've nearly maxed out your indy tech. Near the end of the game, you should sell your military twice or three times per day and hold on to the cash on hand, and during the last few days spend all your cash in hand for a final boost in NW. You should not take any turns after spending the cash since your military expense is extremely high after your final boost.
