Arsenal (abbreviated to Arse or BattleArse, particularly in IRC) is the 2nd longest serving President of Moral Decay, and one of the most outspoken and successful anti-cheat activists in Earth history.

Arsenal started playing around 2002 and has exclusively played in Moral Decay. After an absence of ~4 years, Arsenal returned to Earth 2025 and Moral Decay in mid-2005, eventually rising to become President from November 2005 to March 2006. He returned to Earth, now re-engineered as Earth Empires with the rest of Moral Decay during its October 2011 reunion reset. He was on Moral Decays leadership council during the October and December 2011 resets before becoming President during the February, April and June resets of 2012.

He is known for maintaining the same country name - trolling his long-time rival Turtle Crawler - "I'm still LaFing at you TC".

He continues to play semi-actively in Moral Decay today.

Anti-Cheat History

During Arsenal's leadership Moral Decay has maintained its strong anti-cheating stance and has uncovered 3 instances of widespread cheating in the game.

RD & LaF - 2005/6

During Arsenal's first several resets as Moral Decay President he continued Moral Decay's strong historical anti-cheating stance. He was outspoken against the RD botting of Paradigm and with his close friendship with RD color LC, he was able to broker the first round of peace talks between the respective alliances. During this time, Arsenal had "council" level access in Paradigm and at one stage was offered indefinite protection for Moral Decay and real life monetary reward in exchange for access to that account. It was during this time that Arsenal became friends with Detmer and other Paradigm leaders.

Arsenal's stance created backlash for Moral Decay at the end of 2005. Arsenal had caused controversy amongst the more junior colors and had started taking issue with peculiar land dealings and leaks coming from then FDP's LaF. LaF for its part was under the leadership of Turtle Crawler and FR H4. Suspecting some duplicity between LaF and RD, Arsenal dropped LaF to uNAP for the late 2005 reset.

That following reset in a violation of the uNAP which H4 claimed was never signed - despite logs to the contrary, LaF FS'd MD. The following reset with Moral Decay about to hit LaF in retaliation, Moral Decay was botted repeatedly. Arsenal choose to resign from Moral Decay leadership to avoid further polarizing his enemies and retired from Earth 2025.

It was subsequently leaked to Moral Decay by LC that Turtle Crawler aka Mr. Cream a junior RD color at the time (and LaF Don) had instigated the botting of Moral Decay.

LaF & SoF - 2011/12

Arsenal's return to the Moral Decay Presidency in early 2012 caused significant tension with LaF immediately. The history of 2005/6 was heightened by the fact that Turtle Crawler and H4 were both present in LaF leadership at the time, effectively replicating the situation from 2006.

A similar situation took place with the huge mistrust on both sides causing significant issues within the triple FDP bloc of LaF, SoF and MD. Once again Arsenal started to suspect foul play, with significant items of intelligence being leaks and finding its way into the hands of enemies or LaF from locations such as Earth forum messages and the Moral Decay Boxcarhosting site.

The situation turned into all-out war when Moral Decay once again downgraded LaF from FDP. The next reset LaF pre-emptively FS'd Moral Decay just hours before Moral Decay was due to FS LaF in what later turned out to be a clear case of hacking. Without substantive proof available of LaF and Turtle Crawlers duplicity SoF under the leadership of Helmet and Ivan choose to side with LaF.

SoL - largely via Makinso and Evo - via KJ along with Moral Decay and Arsenal remainder the anti-LaF/SoF bloc. In subsequent resets the 3 alliances were picked apart by the LaF / SoF axis, always seemingly one step ahead until a mistake by Turtle Crawler and Hanlong gave Dragon the evidence needed to expose their cheating.

On 2 May 2012, Pang and Qz announced the massive and un-precedent hacking of Boxcarhosting, Earth Empires and GHQ by Hanlong and Turtle Crawler. Moral Decay's response can be found here.

RD - 2013

During the December 2013 reset, Arsenal uncovered through a network of sources that RD had been using credentials obtained from Turtle Crawler and given to active RD members to again access the Boxcarhosting sites of alliances (including Moral Decay). Acting under the pseudonym Mr. Orange, in reference to the undercover police office in Quentin Tarantino's movie for which RD is named he posted proof of this hacking, and proceeded to dump huge amounts of logs, screenshots and logs on Alliance Talk. In addition he uncovered with IP evidence the identifies of over 20 RD colors, including active alliance leaders such as Helmet, Sov, Candyman and others from alliances across the server. It became clear from these revelations that the links between LaF and RD had weakened since 2006 but the links between the once anti-cheat SoF and RD had strengthened with a significant portion of SoF leadership (partially due to some ex IX and Imag leaders) now represented in RD.

The revelations resulted in the mass deletion of RD by the game moderators (Pang and Qz) and the demise of RD as an alliance in Earth Empires.
