Exploring is one of the main options for using a turn in Earth Empires. In essence, your country spends a turn to gain land, purportedly by sending explorers to locate and occupy new lands.

Exploring works on a sliding scale, with the amount of land explored per turn reducing as your total land increases. However, the amount of land explored per turn does not change if multiple turns are used for exploring in a single instance, regardless of what thresholds may be passed. Therefore, it is generally most beneficial to explore at the start of a new reset, as well as exploring in large batches in order to capitalize on higher exploration rates.

Explore Rates

Threshold represents the maximum amount of total land you can have before your displayed exploration rate drops to the next level.

Your explore rate is always displayed as an integer. The actual expected explore rate is a decimal, and it is rounded to the nearest integer for display purposes only, but not for the calculation of explore gains.
