In 2001, a coworker turned RLintz onto a game called Earth 2025, hosted on swirve.com called Earth 2025. Basically, you start with some land, and build a country, you know the speil. After a few years of playing, I wanted something more from the game. I started a clan called Ares on Earth 2025's Free For All server around 2004. The clan grew until I went through a divorce, minimizing available time to play in 2006. The game rules changed and Ares dissolved in late 2007. In 2009, Swirve shut the game down. October 5th, 2010, an old clan mate many of you may know as JJosh, advised me that Earth 2025 was back and under a new name, Earth Empires. With it's return, came the old rules that we started under.
The dates are approximate but gives a good outline of how FFA Ares evolved,
HAIL ARES!
