Bender is an IRC bot, owned by General Earl that resides on irc.earthempires.com. He is affectionately named after the Futurama character of the same name.
Whats it do?
Bender's main job is to monitor the wiki RSS/Atom feed on the recent changes page. When changes are made, he notifies people in the #wiki channel of the changes.
Bender also logs #earthempires and a script runs (parsing those logs), so we get a channel statistics page, located at http://irc.earthempires.com/stats.
Commands
Addressing the Bot
Bender's control character is ".", he will also respond by his name followed by a colon, ie: bender: some command.
Helpful Commands
Additionally, he can give people in #earthempires useful information with a couple of simple commands.
Fun and Games
He's not all business though. He has some other fun 'features' which are there for everyones amusement.
