Origins

DEU was formed by Kamikaze Sex Pilot (aka KSP), Stubby, and Dark Raven at the end of the third last set of the Free For All Server on Earth: 2025. They recruited from Tourney, Utopia, and Primary players who were fed up with cheating and clanless. DEU actually originated as a netting clan.

The Early Days (Establishment)

DEU began their career in FFA with a message on FFAT stating that they are a new clan. At first, they were welcomed on FFA for their friendliness and immediately set out recruiting people, sending their numbers up from 70 to over 200 countries within a few weeks. However, the founders needed help getting used to the new settings of FFA. Enter lloneph03nixx, aka LP, and ZenebaS. ZenebaS joined DEU when the small tag he was playing in disbanded and merged into the Guards of Hell. Shortly after, LP joined DEU. The relatively new player LP ran hot-headedly against his IMP leader Patriot for handling an FA deal without notifying his leader, and was promptly booted out of the clan, where he was immediately picked up by DEU. As the only players in DEU who had actually played FFA for a while, lloneph03nixx and ZenebaS were instrumental in setting up the external and internal policies of DEU and putting it on a more even footing with the rest of FFA. LP quickly became a FA minister, while Zenebas became War Minister and also served as an aFA.

The Second Set (Total War)

DEUs second set was even more violent and war-torn than the first.

The Closure of FFA (and DEUs future)

With the closure of FFA, many DEU members such as ZenebaS and KSP wanted to move to the alliance server. However, members began to leave, and it was eventually decided that DEU was closing its doors forever. Pyrrhus made a post on FFAT saying that DEU had decided to disband. Many clans, such as IMP and Takers, thought that DEU wa just trying to avoid the eventual conflict that they would face in the Alliance server. In truth, this was not the case.

There have been numerous attempts to regather the key DEU members, such as KSP, Dark Raven, Stubby, Pyrr, Zene, LP, Cozz, and SF, and restart DEU. However it has not happened as of yet.

Notable Members

The following are well-known or important players who were leaders in DEU. All of them but ZenebaS and LP have retired from Earth, but Pyrr still posts on the Alliance Talk sometimes. (as of Feb 2007)

Kamikaze Sex Pilot (aka KSP): started DEU as, a co-President, and ran the clan until the end of FFA. KSP was only 15 (I think... I forget) at the time. He was with DEU since the begining.

Dark Raven: Dark Raven was originally President of DEU, but he went inactive after a month or so. He was enigmatic to the others, since he wasn't around very often.

Stubby: Stubby was a Foreign Affairs Minister in DEU, although he also held the position of Vice President for a time. He was originally Head Foreign AFfairs Minister.

ZenebaS: ZenebaS was a FFA semi-veteran who joined DEU shortly after its inception. He was quickly elevated to the rank of War Minister shortly before the 'really stupid thing where DEU FSed TSE' (see above), on his second or third day in the clan. Zen stayed in DEU until the end, except for short peiods of absence caused by real life events. All in all, he had held the positions of War Minister, Foreign Affairs Minister, Deputy War Minister, Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister, and Advisor at different times. Zen was a well-known public voice of DEU.

Pyrrhus: Pyrrhus was an original DEU member. He was on and off of the Leadership Council constantly, serving in such positions of War Minister, Foreign Affairs Minister, and Vice President at diferent times when he was needed too. Like Zenebas, Pyrr was a public voice for DEU.

lloneph03nixx (aka LP): was a FFA veteran who joined DEU in the early-mid times. He was experienced at netting and Foreign Affairs, and was also known as a controversial (read as: opinionated) DEU voice. He served as Foreign Affairs Minister, Assistant Foreign Affairs Minister, and Retal Minister at different times.

Sexy Flanders: The most experienced Earther in DEU, having played 1a and FFA for years. He joined DEU towards the middle times, and instantly improved DEUs internal mechanisms and relations with other clans. He served as Foreign Affairs Minister (and designed the DEU site).

Cozz: Cozz was another very experienced Earther who joined DEU near the end. He served as Internal Affairs Minister. He also greatly influenced DEU decision making.
