The following page will detail the titanic struggle of WoG vs. MET, from its source as a war request to its finale at the end of the September - October 2006 set in Earth Council. It will also give a brief history on the alliances and their sets up to this point.

Wrath of God (WoG)
WoG's Set Up To the War
Wrath of God started the set planning to compete for ANW. Reuben made an impressive land jump, and was topfed by Guards. After Guards FA refused to accept the retaliations WoG proposed, the two clans went to war despite Guards being 1/5th WoG's size. (Result: Guards tagkilled in < 48 hours, then merging into Thorns)
WoG then went back to netgaining, until they where attacked by AoDT and Thorns. AoDT quickly stopped hitting due to false information give to them reguarding Thorns intentions, and Poetic Justice and Zero Tolerance came in to help WoG hit Thorns. Thus, Thorns was gangbanged 162 to 28. A ceasefire between WoG and Thorns came soon afterwards, with Thorns being tagkilled and getting 10 kills in return (their FS had still out hit AoDTs, but afterwards their activity and restart rates went down).
The membership of WoG refused to go back into netting, and where looking for a war target for some time. WoG was planning on an inter-alliance war, before Murf suggested the friendly "Clash of the Titans" war.

MET's Set Up To the War
The War Request
On October 12, 2006, Angel1 made a post on the Earth Council board called, "War Request"; this act led to the war. The following is the actuall contents of the post:
"Do you really want to war, but noone is there to do the two-step with? How about a nice friendly war with WoG? Contact our FA types, please I'm dying here I get into and war once, twice, why can't we get a third.

"Clash of the Titans (WoG vs. MET)"
On October 21, 2006, Crusader of WoG announced that the allies WoG and MET would be having a friendly war and that they both knew of the FS date in the post "Clash of the Titans (WoG vs. MET)". The following are the contents of this post:
"Both of our alliances have been in several battles this reset, but are ready for more.
The Mighty MET all stars will take on the WoG Warlords this coming Tuesday, October 24th, in a Battle Royale unparalleled in scale or grandeur in the Earth Council server.
This is a friendly war, so the FS date is known to both sides and we will not be calling in any allies, or receiving any FA support.
We here at WoG are looking forward to this day, and appreciate that our friends in MET were as excited as we are about this opportunity.
