Standard Attacks
−
Standard Attacks are used to capture a percentage of another countries land and resources, usually called landgrabbing.

−

−
Standard Strike
−
Troops, Jets and Tanks may be sent on a Standard Strike (SS). A successful attack will capture 3-8% of your opponents land, buildings, money, technology and bushels. Opponents that are smaller or larger in relation to your own country's size will yield less returns, and countries closer to your networth will yield more. These ranges should be quantified.

−

−
Each successful attack yields less land and resources captured. This is called Diminishing Returns.

−

−
Repeated Standard Strikes against the same opponent is called farming and will likely result in hostile attacks from the individual country and/or the clan they are a member of.

Planned Strike
−
A Planned Strike (PS) is similar to a Standard Strike in that Jets, Troops and Tanks may be sent to capture another countries land and resources. The key difference is that Planned Strikes give your military a 50% attacking strength bonus and capture a higher percentage of land and resources. This bonus comes at a cost, however, and any military sent on a Planned Strike will be in rehab, and this unavailable for 20 hours following the attack on the Alliance Server, and 10 hours on the Team Server. (Please add values for other servers)

−

−
5 Planned Strikes may be sent at a time. Each Planned Strike results in a Brigade being created, which is visible on the Military screen. Once 5 Planned Strikes have been sent out, no further attacks will be possible until one of your Brigades comes back out of rehab. Once a Brigade comes out of rehab, it is automatically absorbed into your main army.

Special Attacks
−
Special Attacks are used in times of War. These attacks do not directly benefit you, but are used to destroy your opponents land and resources. Many individual countries and clans will retaliate with similar war attacks if you use these attacks against them.

−
Guerrilla Strike
−
Only Troops may be sent on a Guerilla_Strike (GS). A successful GS will kill portions of your opponents population and destroy some of their food supply. Only an opponents Troops are used to defend against GS's.

−
Bombing Run
−
Only Jets may be sent on a Bombing Run (BR). A successful BR will kill portions of your opponents population and destroy some of their buildings. Only an opponents Turrets are used to defend against BR's.

−
Artillery Barrage
−
Only Tanks may be sent on a Artillery Barrage (AB). A successful AB will destroy a portion of your opponents buildings. Only an opponents Tanks are used to defend against AB's.

Missiles
−

−
Missiles are special military units that may not be manufactured on demand, do not require the use of oil, nor lower a countries' readiness when deployed.

−

−
Missiles are developed by chance and one of any, or all types may be awarded during any turn played. It is entirely possible to develop 1 of each kind of missile during a single turn.

−

−
The likelihood of the development of missiles can be increased with investing in Warfare Technology.

−

−
There are three missile types used;

−

−
Nuclear Missile - Abbreviated NM - Used primarily to destroy land.

−

−
Chemical Missile - Abbreviated CM - Used primarily to kill population.

−

−
Cruise Missile - Abbreviated EM - Used primarily to destroy military units.

Declaring War
−

−
A country may choose to declare war on another country. If a country declares war, it will have to pay $10 per acre per turn in expenses while it is in a state of war. Declaring war bypasses GDI restrictions and gives the country a 10% military strength boost against the country it declared upon. To end war, the country must declare peace: this can be done either 48 hours after war was first declared or if the country that was declared upon dies. Note that the country was declared upon will be able to attack the aggressor without worrying about GDI.

−

−
Declaring war is used in war for breaking, in country to country wars, or to perform gdi farming.

GDI and other restrictions
−

−
GDI
−

−
Countries may join GDI to limit the countries which can attack them. For more information, see the article on GDI.

−

−
Protection
−

−
For the first 99 turns, all countries cannot be attacked, spied upon, make attacks, do spy ops, or sell on the public market. Once a country plays its 100th turn, it leaves protection.

−

−
Vacation
−

−
While on vacation, countries cannot be attacked or spied. For more information, see the article on vacation.

−

−
Humanitarians
−

−
Countries may only attack or spy on countries within their humanitarian range. For all servers except tournament, if the target is more than 12 times or less than 1/12 the attacker's networth, the attack will be stopped. For the tournament server, this limit is 8X. This restriction cannot be bypassed except by adjusting NW to get in the proper range.
