Background
The Omega was formed in fall 1998 as a group of elite netgainers by Mr. Niphty and Castejon. Many people mark with Pre-Omega and Post-Omega, in that before The Omega came, tags did not exist. The Omega was bound to make great change and they did with a strong anti-cheating stance. After a split between Mr Niphty and Castejon, Mr Niphty led the Omega and The Omega found itself at war with RoCK. Quickly humbled, JerBu stepped up to lead the Omega and befriended RoCK and joined the Rockfamily. JerBu soon stepped over and leadership of the Omega was turned over to a trio of Tafkas, Josie and Ench.
Later on, they would come to fight RoCK in wars, as they stood by the alliance Moral Decay whom they had allied with. This began a long term friendship that lasts to this day. Early in The Omega's history, during the Tiger reset, the Survival of the Fittest SoF broke off from The Omega. At this point Tafkas retired from the Omega and leadership was in the hands of Josie and Ench.
This break with SoF resulted in tension between the two alliances, but they later became friends and allies. This alliance, that should have been a netgaining alliance, started it's life in war after war after war. However, the Omega was destined to be a netgaining alliance and over time, took her proper place at that table.

33. Steel's AB FS 8 days into the reset. Omega fights diligently until Steel gets deleted because of multies, then crushes what is left of Steel. The 7 week war will be remembered as one of Omega's greatest tests of endurance in a reset (Feb 1 - march 30, 2005
34. Botted early, defended Imag against significantly larger TIE. Lost a friend; RIP Ross.
35. netgaining
36. Quiet netgaining
37. war teasers followed by quiet netgaining
38. I'm going to assume quiet netgaining.
39. Elysium surprise attack on IX prompts The Omega's attention to go to SOL. On February 28th, after a standoff between The Omega/Moral Decay/LCN and SOL, Moral Decay make the first strike in our joint FA. The Omega and LCN follow suit. Due to the standoff, the normal FS advantage did not exist. This set proves that surprises happen even with excellent intel.
40th - Server war for most of the reset. Omega was focused on early due to our strong showing.
41 - Strong netgaining reset. Svo finishes top 10.
42. Massive reps demanded by RD due to suicider in Omega tag at end of reset #41. RD begins attacks to force earlier payment, but when payments are completed, RD attacks continue. RD claims it is a rogue member and offers no solution. Omega reports all apparent multis in defense. Colors are angered by their subsequent country deletings, and pledge to attack for resets to come. Reset ends unexpectedly with no explanation from Mehul.
43. Solid netgaining performance. Clan finishes top 5 in Average and Total, and we had 3 top 10 finishers.
44. More good netgaining. 8 top 100 finishers, and grabbed the #2 slot. Also ranked 2nd in average and 4th in total.
45. Last reset in 1a. Strong netting finish.
46. First EC reset. Continued netting.
47. Strong netting set, finished 5th in ANW and broke 1bil nw with 22 members.
48. Strong netgaining: 24 members, 1.38 billion total networth, 57.5 million average networth.
49. Strong netgaining: 31 members, 1.699 billion total networth, 54.8 million average networth. Lots of suiciders.
50. Strong membership showing for 50th anniversary. Blindsided by SoF.
51. Good war showing against ZT.
52. Strong netgaining. 65.4 million average net, 24k average land.
53. FS'd by ZT in week 2. Turn the tables in one of the most impressive comebacks in recent memory.
54. Strong netgaining, 60 mil avg. 45 members.
55. Netgaining. Swirve hands over the reins to OMAC Industries...
56: Netgaining. Nov - Jan. All quiet on the Omegan front.
57: Netgaining. Jan - Mar. 69.5 mill NW finish, 3rd place.
58: Netgaining. 16th march - 27th may. 97,741,617 avg nw. 3rd in avg nw.
59: Weird war reset. LaF crushed EVO. SoF, SoL and IX ganged up on netting alliances and FSed them one by one. PDM did an AB FS on SoF. LaF FSed PDM due to being obstinate about reps agreements. IX (106 members) FSed Omega (29 members). MD / Rage CF with NA to help Omega. IX hit LaF so SoF and SoL FSed IX (all while SoL kept waring LaF). In short it was a weird war reset where everyone were at war and backstabbing occured. Omega won. IX disbanded.
The Omega's Migration to the Earth Council Server
Shortly after Earth Council came into existance, The Omega made the painful choice to move to the new server and to escape the cheaters that had long ruined the Alliance Server and very nearly brought The Omega to its knees. The move was intended to give a new start in a less cheating environment.
